2010: What a year

So has 2010 has been quite a year for me! There have been some really good parts, and some definite hard parts. Looking back though I did a lot and have had an awesome year that I got to share with my amazing family and friends!
Have had an amazing year with my awesome job! Our apartment complex got built this year, and we got to watch it get built from the ground up.
I really love my job, not only do I get to tie-dye but plan other fun events!
I even got to travel a little bit for work. Here I am in Cheney Washington! I got to visit Kelsey at her school which was cool to see, and otherwise probably never would have been.

I also get to work in a beautiful office everyday, with an awesome staff!

I got to experience my first Savannah St. Patrick's Day! Had a blast and can't wait to go back next year!

Went hiking at the Little Grand Canyon. It was a great girls weekend, hope we have lots more in the future!

Had an amazing bridal shower, thrown by the best Maid of Honor ever Kala Jones!

Tried to get married in the Dominican Republic. Didn't go has planned, but I got to spend time(short amount) with my amazing family and friends!

Bryan and I honeymooned to beautiful Miami, Fl in their trauma center. He was such a trooper through the whole thing. He probably held me together.
Celebrated my first Savannah Fourth of July!
Bought land in our dream neighborhood. Can't wait to start building!

Went to a Corn Maize! Bryan had a great time!

Had a blast at The Zhest's wedding!

FINALLY! Got married! The day was perfect, and we loved sharing it with our closest friends and family!

Luke went to beach for the first time. Ready for summer to take him back again!

Finally celebrated our first Christmas in our apartment. Can't wait for the family to come down in a couple days!

All in all I had an amazing year minus a few bumps in the road! I feel closer to my friends and family then ever. I also realize how fortunate I am, can't wait for what 2011 brings!!!

Christmas Came Early

It is only Thursday, but I have had a wonderful week thus far. My mom or Bryan might say I am spoiled but it is the holiday time. This week I caught my apartment up to the 21st century and got myself a TiVo. We had DVR had our old place, but cable was included at our new apartment so no need to bring the Dish with us. Tivo was running an offer I could no refuse $19.99 a month including box and service and no money down.
The $20 a month will be worth it for no commercials and now Pawn Stars, and Real Housewives can tape at the same time, marital problems solved! We can also stream our Netflix though Tivo and watch them at home without waiting for them to ship!

Next exciting thing that happened. Was that I got an iPhone 4!!! Now I can Face Time with my mom and sister all the way across the country. Technology really is pretty cool. Radio Shack bought my old phone for $125 and and iPhone was $150 so I walked away only $25 in the hole! Well worth it for the upgraded phone!!!

Now picture me and mom/sister!

In other news Christmas is quickly approaching. I am so excited for the family to come visit!!! For Harry Potter land, and for the new year! Students will be leaving this week so work is going to pretty slow! I planned some fun events for the residents like cookie decorating, ornament decorating, and gingerbread house decorating, and I plan on participating in all since no one will come!

Bryan got his wisdom teeth out today. He has reached his surgery quota for the next couple years. He did well except when we were driving and blood started gusing from the mouth. The doctor said it was because he was talking to much...imagine that. When he woke up the first thing he said was he wanted to go to work, imagine that! Anyway him and Luke are curled up on the couch with the new Tivo. I have made a few trips up to hand out medicine, and change bloddy gauze!

Anyways that is all in my life right now! Waiting for 6:00 to go upstairs lay around with Luke and my Chipmunk!

Gobble Gobble

Hello Blogging Friends,
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I feel like I have a lot to be thankful for this year. I am thankful for my awesome friends and family who helped so much this year with everything that happened, I am thankful for Bryan's bionic leg and health, my baby Luke, my new car, my awesome job and apartment, and for eclipse coming out on DVD Friday!

So I know I was talking about getting a Prius in my last blog, well we got one. I love it! It's new, gets great mileage, and has blue tooth, and iPod hook ups.

The color is called Barcelona red!

When driving it has this electronic screen in the dash that show you how many mpg you are getting, and if you are in Eco mode. Bryan and I like to think of it as a game to see who can get the best gas mileage!!! A little nerdy I know...

I had a lovely thanksgiving up in Atlanta. We went to bryan's parents house. We rolled in Wednesday night. Danielle and I contributed Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and cupcakes. When I say Danielle and I, I mean Danielle with me keeping her company. The day off they had over 20 people, it was lots of good food! Luke enjoyed all of his attention so by the end of the day he was pooped.

The next day we headed up to Atlanta to visit. First stop we stopped at our friends Ashley and Romeen's house and visited there new baby. Little Mathias was the happiest baby I have ever seen. He was so cute, but from there stories he wasn't so sweet when he cries all night. I think Luke is enough for now.

Next stop was the Zhests! We visited the newlyweds at there house. We went out to eat snuck in a little shopping. Danielle and I of course got yogurt can't pass up that opportunity.

So all in all it was a good break. Although with tomorrow being Monday and going back to work. I can't help but want Christmas to hurry up just a little bit more!

So I was told I could not count myself a blogger unless I had more than one post. So here is my long awaited second post. I was trying to wait until something exciting happened, but I guess my life is not that exciting so I have to write about the day to day stuff. I did have a pretty eventful week. I got yelled at by a couple moms on the phone. Always exciting let me tell you. Sometimes you just want to tell them to cut the cord. It's ok your kid is not in elementary school anymore.

Monday Night for work we had a bon fire. It was actually a pretty good time, we made s'mores, and just sat around and talked.

We took Luke out there as well, and he enjoyed being outside and hanging out with his favorite person...ME!

He enjoyed eating sticks and grass, and I thought he was just having a grand time until 3AM when the sticks and grass had a grand time coming back up on the floor. Poor baby.

We had a work conference in Jacksonville, AL. It was a really great time, we met people from other properties, and we able to really express our concerns at our property. The hotel was nice that we stayed at, and I got a room to myself, I always feel like such a big girl on work trips. Although on the other hand our rental car was a mini van, so it felt very similar to a family road trip. Listened to bad music, and was asked to make sure I used the bathroom before I left.

So Bryan's car has been giving us some trouble, so he is thinking about selling it :( On the other hand we went and test drove a Toayta Prius! Which if you know me has been my dream car for a while. I do love to be friendly to the earth!

Going to Savannah this weekend! Going to see Harry Potter (a day late I know)... Hopefully go to a good yogurt place, and I really hope they still have pumpkin. Starbucks in Statesboro no longer serves Pumpkin Spice Latte, which was a bit depressing thank goodness for Gingerbread lattes. Well that is all for my exciting life at this moment. So excited for Thanksgiving and black Friday shopping. As well as Christmas. I can't wait to see my familia, and my friends (non related familia).

XOXOXO ( I feel like I need to follow this with Gossip Girl...lol)

"The Married Life"

Hello Blog World!

There are a few reasons that I have decided to attempt blogging.
1. Two of my very lovely friends have one, and I can't feel out of the loop.
2. Now that my wedding is over, I need something to occupy my time with when work is slow.
3. None of my family/friends live near me I can update everyone about my life at once, I always forget what I tell one person, and not the other.

So this past weekend was my wedding weekend!!! So I am now a "married" woman. Which legally I have been for several months, but my friends could argue longer than that with my lameness factor the past year or so. Oh well...you guys still love me. The wedding day was perfect it went off without a hitch. Thanks to all my great family and friends, and the wedding planner, and apparently a couple of tequila shots before going down the aisle led by my mother! My friends looked awesome in there coral pink dresses, although one friends dress was a little lighter than the rest (you know who you are).

I had to remember a lot my wedding day. Smile at all times, keep hand on hip to maximize skinny arm, whether or not I wanted a conch shell blown, put the ring on the left finger (I had to make a mental L on my hand up at the alter), not mess up my vows, hold flowers at hip, and hold kiss for 3 second. Now all this is a lot of pressure, especially in front of an audience. But I rocked it!

So marriage life has been treating me pretty much the same as not married.
- Wake up argue who is going to take the dog out ( I win)
- Come home for lunch argue who is going to take the dog out
- Argue who gets the remote
-Go to bed and argue who is going to take the dog out (Since Bryan is usually passed out on the couch at this point, he wins)

So now I have several things to look forward to!
1. Harry Potter Land in December with all my favorite people, I can't wait to drink butterbeer, test out a wand (although Holly burst my bubble only one person in the shop gets to test it, and it's usually a cute little kid...Damn). Now we just have to convince Kala to wear her costume:

2. Kala's wedding will be here before we know it. I have big MOH shoes to fill Kala had double MOH duty, so hopefully I can make it really good only one time around! Her speech was amazing, brought me back to out public speaking class days only she said umm, and like a whole lot less. FYI Kala I started my speech tonight...so far I have thanks everyone for coming. I have time though.

3. My dream cruise to Italy/Greece! Hopefully I can make it happen I have been wanting to go for several years now. Gotta start brushing up on my Italian.

So I will try to keep updating on my exciting life of leasing, Luke, and marital bliss..haha.
Oh and my diet which starts tomorrow, haha the alarm is all set for 7 lets see if I can wake up and go work out....Then again maybe it should start on Monday.
